Spartan Grounds
Harrell House sunroom suite with treatment chair and wraparound windows

Our story

Two founders. One standard.

Spartan Grounds is a Boise company, locally owned by a disabled Special Operations veteran and his wife. Our mission: a private office with personality and culture, in a building run by the people who own it.

Since 2021

Two buildings nobody else believed in.

Discipline today. Success tomorrow.

How we started

He is an Idaho native and a disabled Special Operations veteran. She is a commercial designer from Southern California, trained in interior design. They came home to Idaho during the pandemic wanting a permanent home for their own businesses and a real estate portfolio they could build together.

What they found

They toured Boise’s office space and kept walking into the same room. Generic. Stuffy. Boring.

She had spent years working alongside major brands, and those brands understood something most landlords never will: the room a business works in changes how it performs. Environment is not decoration. It is return on investment.

Environment is not decoration. It is return on investment.

Executive Plaza, then Harrell House

Too risky. They bought anyway.

People said it would not work. They bought the buildings anyway. Executive Plaza came first, and within its first year every suite was leased. Harrell House, built in 1884, followed. They restored it and named it for a man who shaped one of their lives.

Why Spartan

Do business with your shield.

Spartans went into battle with one instruction about the shield: come back with it, or on it. You did not set it down when it got heavy.

Anyone who has built a business knows that weight, and our founders have carried it side by side. They have worked the nights nobody sees, shared the risk, and kept every promise they made to a tenant. He learned the standard in Special Operations. She learned it delivering for brands that expected every detail right. They carry it together now, in every building they own.

We named these buildings for the people who carry it. When you walk in, you are among people who know what it took to get here.

How we run it

The operator difference

We are not a franchise, and we are not a management company working for a distant owner. We own and operate both locations. Decisions about your building are made in Boise, by the people who designed it. A problem gets handled by people with the authority to fix it. Your renewal is a conversation, not a form letter.

That matters most on the days nobody plans for. A leak on a Friday afternoon. A client arriving early to a hallway that needs attention. A business that grows faster than its lease. You call the owners, and the owners answer.

We put our own reputation behind every suite, and we treat each one that way.

What we stand for

Environment is ROI.

The room you work in changes how your business performs.

Personality over generic.

Never another generic box.

Owners, not overseers.

The people who own Spartan Grounds run it.
